wills

Don't put it off!  We know its hard, and no one likes to think about their own mortality, but be responsible, get it done and then forget about it!

If you own property, have a Bank Account, Kiwisaver or superannuation scheme, or a life Insurance policy that is valued at over $15,000, no Will means considerable extra cost and worry for family and loved ones, and will take a lot longer.

So get it done.  Its usually not expensive, and it will likely save a whole lot of trouble for your loved ones down the track.

Further, it's important to have understandable, clear and efficient legal assistance to draft these documents.  Everyone's circumstances are different, and one shoe doesn't fit all, so make sure you give us a call when starting the process and we can help step you through it.

no will, but your relative has died?

We are still able to assist and ‘No’ - it is not likely any money will go to the Government!  However it may not be left as you would have liked, as legislation dictates how any distribution is to be made.  A partner or wife may be left with less funds than they need.

The time and cost and delays if you do not have a Will are significant.  Please ask about making your Will to prevent this occurring.
